Four static files, nothing to connect.
index.htmlPublic landing page. Links to everything below.twenty-hours-calculator.htmlThe instrument, English.twenty-hours-calculator-de.htmlThe instrument, German. Identical CSS, IDs and arithmetic.twenty-hours-concept.htmlThe concept page, English only for now.for-the-developer.htmlThis page. Not linked from anywhere prominent, safe to delete once the site is built. The instrument exists in English and German. twenty-hours-calculator.html and twenty-hours-calculator-de.html are two separate self-contained files with identical CSS, identical element IDs and identical arithmetic. Only the text differs. Each links to the other from the line under the title, so they can sit side by side at two URLs without any language switching logic. If the site has its own language routing, use that instead and drop the two links.
All pages are single self-contained files. Inline CSS and JavaScript, no frameworks, no external requests, no images, no web fonts. Open any of them directly in a browser and it works offline.
Easiest integration: iframe the instrument. It is a self-contained tool with its own state, so embedding it avoids any collision with the host theme's styles or IDs. Works as-is on Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow or a custom build.
The concept page is English only for now, and it is just prose. Paste the text into the CMS and let the site's own type styles carry it. Nothing on that page is functional except the two internal links.
If the instrument must be inline rather than iframed: the CSS custom properties are declared on :root and there are body rules, which will fight an existing theme. Move both under a wrapper class such as .twenty-hours and prefix the element selectors. Roughly twenty minutes of work, and nothing in the JavaScript needs to change, since it addresses elements by ID.
No placeholders left, and nothing to connect. The instrument used to end in an offer button pointing at a sales form. That button was removed on 10 August 2026: the calculator and the offer process are separate, by the gallery's decision. The page now produces a figure and stops. It sends nothing and needs no URL. The only links on it are to the other language version and to the concept page. The buyer carries the figure to the gallery themselves, by whatever route the gallery prefers.
There is a commented-out block in both instruments. Please leave it in place. It is a distribution table showing how the sale price divides between artist and gallery. It is switched off because its VAT and tax figures are not confirmed yet, and it may come back once they are. It has no effect on the page while commented out, the JavaScript is written to run with or without it, and the English and German copies of it must stay in step.
The fifty-fifty split is final and is stated in prose, in the notes at the foot of the instrument and in the colophon of the concept page. Nothing else on any of the pages is provisional.
